Assembly of European Regions (France)
The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is the largest independent interregional organisation in broader Europe, with 150 regional authorities from 32 countries as members. Established in 1985, AER is a forum for regional politicians to engage in interregional cooperation and to voice regional interests as European level, being recognised as a key stakeholder on the European scene and benefiting from priviledged relations with the major European Institutions and organisations. AER relies on an active and engaged network of policy makers, experts from member Regions, regional governments and NGOs and is also active in various partnerships and interregional organisations.
