Building the right relationships — networking — is critical in any setting. The people we spend time with largely determine the opportunities that are available to us, and opportunities do not float like clouds in the sky. They are attached to people.

Network by definition is a system of interconnected people or things.In today’s world, networking is a necessity. Research shows that professional networks lead to more job and business opportunities, broader and deeper knowledge, improved capacity to innovate, faster advancement and greater status and authority.

Building and nurturing professional relationships also improves the quality of work and increases job satisfaction.
